Written from Camp Verplanks Point, present-day Verplanck, New York. Writes, "Captain Reiley [possibly John Reily] of the Invalid regiment tried the 30th ultimo by the General Court martial of which Colo. M [possibly Michael] Jackson is president is acquitted and released from his arrest. The Invalid regiment will furnish a Captain to Sit as Member of the General Court martial of which Colo. M. Jackson is president vice Captain Story of the 8 Massa. regiment indisposed. Extract from General Orders." May be the extract of orders referred to in GLC02437.01579.
