Bragdon informs Captain Lewis that he has a "commission to dispose of and if it suits you to take the Commission it is at your service ... " Instructs Lewis to offer the commission to Benjamin Tripe (possibly Benjamin Tripp, a lieutenant in Lewis's company) if he does not accept it for himself. If Tripp does not accept, the commission is to be passed to Andrew [Borly].
