Published at the request of the Democrats. Argues that the recognition of the South is inevitable. Proclaims that the federal government is attempting to overthrow the sovereignty of the Confederate States. Emphasizes the right and constitutional authority of nullification, particularly pertaining to the Confederate States. Alludes to the nullification controversy of South Carolina.
Concludes that the men of the state of Ohio must come to the rescue of the South and "integrity of state rights."
