Written from the Seminary Hospital. Informs his wife that he is in the hospital. Tells her that it costs one dollar a day to be there, but that the care is excellent. Informs her that his throat is worse than ever and he has a bad cough. He hopes to join his regiment in ten to twelve days. Comments, "I hope you are recovering from your disease Sarah I was afraid when I left you that you would have a hard spell of sickness..." Asks that she send mail addressed to: Captain W Logan, Seminary Hospital, Georgetown, D.C. Requests that she tear off a portion of the letter to be sent to family. This portion is not with the letter. Dated only the 9th, month illegible. Printed on a letterhead with image of Capital building. Written in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
