Hobson writes from the Navy Department to Black in Barbourville, Kentucky. Replies to correspondence from Black, stating, "I should be pleased to deliver an address under the auspices of the Confederate Reunion should my duties and previous engagements permit- would you therefore let me know the date limits- There would be no question of terms, only my expenses- appreciating the compliment you pay me by the invitation..." Written on stationery with "The Circle" letterhead.
