Instructs on facilitating movement on the Washington-Rochambeau route southward toward Yorktown. Stevens is to head toward Christiana Bridge with Colonel John Lamb's regiment, and then on to Head of Elk. Stevens was commanding officer of an artillery regiment in the Continental Army.
