A pamphlet of statistics concerning the money spent on African American education in 1835. The document shows in detail the appropriation of the sum of 20,000 pounds towards the erection of school houses in the colonies and settlements to which the provisions of the act for the abolition of slavery apply. There is also a statement of the applications for aid that were not answered due to the 1835 grant being exhausted.
