One letter from Henry Longfellow to W. H. Sutherland, dated June 19, 1877. Longfellow informs Sutherland that the pseudonym "Joshua Coffin" was mistakenly ascribed to him in the "Homes Of American Authors" book. Longfellow says that Joshua Coffin was "a man of flesh and blood" who wrote the book a "History of Newbury."
