A letter from William J. Myers to Mary Rose Myers dated September 16, 1942. William is at gunnery school learning how the guns work and how to fire them. He finds it very tough, and outlines their schedule for the next five weeks. He is afraid he won't be able to learn it all and will fail, but he likes the work anyway. William also warns Mary Rose that he might not be able to write again in the next few weeks because of how busy the schedule is and asks her to apologize to everyone for him. William signs the letter as "Tex."
