One letter from Jan Nitschke to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated January 12, 1974. Nitschke supports the impeachment of President Nixon and writes, "An example of the disaster that will happen to the Republican party if decisive action is not taken, is right here in Syracuse, New York, where last November, Democrats gained control of city hall in this overwhelmingly Republican area, because Republicans - fed up with politics - stayed at home or simply voted the Democratic party line because of an "attractive" mayoral candidate."
