One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated October 13, 1944. He received a lot of letters recently and he’s trying to get through them all. He comments on Raymond’s extra work and that at least he’s getting paid more. He inquires about their car and the coal situation. He hopes that they will be able to get enough coal for the winter supply. He mentions Wilbur Brian, who is working near him at Hickam Field and his regrets for not taking a job in plane repair, or the Merchant Marines before he got drafted. Mentions that Kennith Moyer had practically begged Leonard to go with him when he enlisted. Also mentions Joe Fortenbough and Robert Winemiller. He mentions Frank Ensminger being listed as missing, and Bud Lulweider and Bob Nye both noted as prisoners of war. Mentions his next leave and he hopes to get a ride on a plane.
