One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated August 26, 1944. He received multiple cards and letters; two from this parents one from June, one from Mrs. Shoemaker, and one from Doris Bixler. He has been very busy, he went on liberty and picked up his pictures, and got more taken. He also went to two movies, a baseball game, and a party at the Breakers in Waikiki. The party was organized by the U.S.O. He is sorry to hear about Joe and his mother. (GLC09611.355) He also updates them on Dottie Erickson and Lillian Hogentogle. He thanks them for checking his bank account. He is sad to hear about Edith's broken leg.

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
