One letter from Bernice Stouffer to Leonard Eugene Graeff dated October 27, 1943. Bernice apologizes for not writing sooner. She is glad Leonard likes the Navy and wonders if it is possible for Leonard to visit her boyfriend Bruce who is also in the Navy. Bernice updates Leonard on "Eggie" who was just home on leave. She thinks he will be in the United States for the whole war as he is at Eglin Air Field fixing planes. She wishes Bruce could be so lucky as to be stationed in the United States but knows it is a pipe dream. Moyer is on furlough right now and will go to St. Petersburg to school before being shipped out. She hopes Leonard will be home for Thanksgiving, and warns him that since he is so good looking the girls will be all over him when he is home. The theme song of every girl is "They're Either Too Young Or Too Old." Bernice updates him on Charlie, Gen and Natalie.

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
