One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff, dated October 28, 1943. Leonard can't wait to get home only 8 more days. He is glad they had a good drive the other day and hopes the gas situation is good. He asks them to tell Aunt Malinda he is bringing home more pictures and has one for her. He heard about an explosion in Easton and was glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Leonard went to the infirmary for foot pain and got out of drilling and wearing his boots for a few days. He says it is a problem where the tendon meets the heel bone and he has to wrap it in a cold damp towel over night which should help it. He heard From Dick Miller who is still in the same place. He mentioned that Dick is in the Army. He had gas mask training the other day in a gas chamber.
