Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Describes the Choral Club of Lucy Addision High School in Roanoke, Virginia. Lists some of the places the club has performed and notes that they have performed for both white and black groups. At the top of the page is a photograph of the group, the word "mascot" has been written beside it with a line drawn to one of the girls in the photograph. Another photograph has been taped to the top right hand corner of a woman standing beside a car. The reverse lists the members of the Choral Club.
