At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

A program for the production of the musical comedy "Bloomer Girl" by "A&R Class 36," performed at "W + L Gym". "Lt. Williams" played the role of Alexander. First page contains the title and production logo. Third page is a title page and lists creators. Fourth page lists the cast. Fifth and sixth pages list scenes and production staff. Seventh page is blank. Eighth contains a small stamp showing a man and woman dancing. All involved with the production appear to be members of the armed forces.
