One engraving entitled, "Moll Pitcher at The Battle of Monmouth" dated 1856. Depicts a popular American Revolution legend. Molly Pitcher (misspelled as Moll) had been carrying water to her husbands artillery crew, when he was wounded, she took his place for the remainder of the battle. Engraved by J. Rogers after a painting by D. M. Carter. Original painting was in possession of publisher at time of engraving.
