Writes from Camp Convalescent near Fort Bernard. Says while in Philadelphia, he got in the habit of drinking, and the "temptations" made him want to get away from the hospital. Describes his trip from the hospital to the Convalescent Camp in detail, including the meal he ate upon arrival at the camp. He concludes by thanking "the Ladies of Ward B."
