Writes to the editor of the New York Times and Chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Union [Republican] Party. Urges Raymond to collaborate with the New York Young Men's Republican Union, which had sponsored and published Lincoln's address at the Cooper Institute, 27 February 1860. States that the New York Union is an "efficient, and most worthy coworker in the Union cause, and the cooperation with which will probably be useful." Separate address leaf with note stating this letter was written in the presence of Dexter A. Hawkins, Frank W. Ballard, and Mark Hoyt, and states when it was delivered.
