The images shows John Wilkes Booth riding on a black horse through a group of trees with the capitol building visible in the background. A ghostly image of Abraham Lincoln appears between two trees on the left side of the photograph. The trees surrounding Lincoln's ghost are peppered with tiny ghostly Lincoln heads. A sign posted on a tree on the right of the photograph points to St. Marys, MD. Pasted on the verso is an advertisement for a cholera remedy. Graphite inscription on verso "80318 B.F. Dec. 31, 1928."
