At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Mr. Kelly still does not eat much. He has been away from his regiment without leave. Mr. Cherry has been most unhelpful to them while Mr. Khan has called three times, offered her money, and given her a bottle of wine, "so there's the difference between a christian and a jew."
