Union ticket from San Francisco, California for Abraham Lincoln of Illinois as President and Andrew Johnson of Tennessee as Vice President. Lists presidential electors from each district. Also prints the candidate for member of Congress, First District, Donald C. McRuer of San Francisco. Verso of ticket is printed with an image of three ships in battle, the Alabama, the Deerhound, and the Kearsarge.
On 19 June 1864, the Union Kearsarge sank the Confederate Alabama near Cherbourg, France. Some Confederates aboard the Alabama escaped to England aboard the nearby British yacht Deerhound.
