Thanks Myers, the Chief Quartermaster of Missouri, for his role in keeping the troops supplied during the Atlanta campaign. Praises him for his well run department, " ... its perfect organization & division of labor and how well supplied our armies always were." Calls any critical detractors, "growlers and unsuccessful Generals." Mentions General Robert Allen, whom he states he almost brought along as Quartermaster on the Atlanta campaign. Written on stationery of the Head Quarters, Military Division of the Mississippi.
