At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

This document provides an inventory and description of Ordnance reviewed by E.L Raymond, who is the Division Inspector. The items reviewed (Enfield rifled muskets, Springfield rifled muskets, bayonet scabbards, a cartridge box, andseveral pouches) were all deemed "unserviceable". It was concluded that they were either "To Be Repaired" or "To Be Dropped" by the Company. Captain Ethan A. Jenks signs off as the Commanding Officer of the Company. Docketed on verso.
