Discusses a business transaction involving himself, [Joseph] Anthony, [Thomas] Randall, and Mr. [William] Crammond. Says Randall has requested Knox pay $12,000 (likely a debt Knox owed to Randall) to Mr. Crammond. Appears Randall and possibly Crammond also owe money to creditors. Describes a proposition he made to Crammond regarding the debt.
