Feels bad having to ask for a favor from Knox. Says that Henry Dearborn, the present marshall for the District of Maine, has been elected to Congress, and Hobby wants Knox to use his influence to help [Hobby] become Dearborn's successor. As the President and Senate need to approve it, he thinks he stands a good chance with Knox's good word.
