Relates that in a previous letter, he asked Knox for help straightening out a Bounty Land warrant owed to his family after the death of his son. Sends the bearer, his grandson Mr. Joseph Peirce Jr., to receive the warrant (it is unclear whether this is the son of Knox's friend Joseph Peirce, who was also delivering Knox a letter; see GLC02437.05310).
