Reads, "Received from the Secretary at War, ten Bills drawn by the Board of Treasury on William Imlay Esqr. Commissioner of the Continental Loan Office, State of Connecticut, amounting to one thousand Dollars, for which I have given duplicate Rects. of the same tenor & date, and for which I promise to be accountable to the [proper] offices."
