Signed by Captain T.B. Tearse as the commander of the post at Albany. Provision return for rations issued to Colonel James Livingston from 1-31 August 1783. A total of 155 rations were issued over 31 days. The rations were issued "agreeable to a Resolution of Congress." Note on verso signed by Colonel Livingston stating that he received the rations from contractors. No place written, but could possibly be Albany, New York.
