Notes regarding changes in pay scale for military officers W. Barber, Samuel Lord, and John Austin passed by Congress in 1777 and 1778. Note at bottom reads: Mr. Shaw will be much obliged to Maj. [Platt] to fill up the above blanks with the particular dates of the resolves by which the above rates of pay were settled." Date added later in pencil.
