Written to his aunt, Mrs. George A. Frick (Rebecca Frick). He has been given orders to act as inspecting officer of the sub-district which includes five counties. Writes that due to these orders, his expenses will increase and asks his aunt to send him another fifty dollars. Hopes that the regiment is either mustered out or paid off next month, as there are four months pay overdue.
