Discusses pleasure at having read Edward [R. Archer's] letter to Annie [Archer], Annie taking Virginia to go visit with Maimie who is recovering well from her illness. She mentions that Edward Archer has behaved well and is easy to care for. She also mentions Edward [R. Archer's] stay in Berlin, the heat wave in Richmond, family whereabouts, cousin Fannie Hobson's indignation at not having received a letter for some time from Archer, and his next desination--London.
