Confederate General Humes discusses his request for 1,000 yards of cloth from the Army of Tennessee to distributed for sale among the officers of his division. He explains that his officers have never before drawn clothing from the government and that many of them are "almost destitute of clothing." Letter written from Humes Headquarters in Georgia.
