Copy of a letter written to Massachusetts Senator Pickering from Gabriel Duvall, Comptroller of the United States Treasury. Duvall states that Pickering's "accounts as late Secretary of State of the United States are finally closed on the books of the Treasury." The original letter was created on December 5, 1810.
