Cosigned by Robert McDouall for the British. General Dearborn, commander of the Northern Department of U.S. forces, and Captain Robert McDouall, aid de camp to the Governour in chief of Canada arranged this treaty for prisoner exchanges during the War of 1812, authorized by Lieutenant General George Prevost.
