Marked "Copy." In Henry Jackson's hand. Page 1 contains a letter written by Mr. de la Roche and Madame de Leval to Jackson, which was forwarded to Knox. By virtue of the credit given to de la Roche and de Leval of the French Company of the Union by William Duer, any supplies necessary for the settlement, including clothing and provisions, should be purchased. Wants to make sure there are receipts. Verso contains a receipt for $50, 5 shillings, and 6 pence worth of supplies. Receipt created by John B. Regnier, agent.
