Alida expresses her desire to visit her brother, and complains of her financial troubles. She hopes the executors for her deceased husband will send her some money, and notes "it is very Lamen[table] that in these times of Distress there is no justice done [illegible] Widow & Fatherless, but praysed be god he has given me a friend in you." Alida writes her brother that she is greatly concerned with her financial situation, as she is indebted over 200 pounds and will soon have to pay interest on the debt. She therefore asks Robert, Jr. to assist her in procuring the money due to her from her deceased husband's estate, which has been unjustly withheld from her. Docketed on address leaf.
