Grier writes to his brother and reports the weather has been snowy and windy. Informs him that the price of corn has dropped and the whiskey tax has risen. Comments he has sold forty bushels of corn at sixty-seven cents each. States he is considering buying a few sheep. Continues the letter the next day, 18 March 1864. Mentions Bell was there all evening and comments on how mischievous she is. Discusses the neighbors. Includes a three cent stamp on the envelope.
