The speeches were delivered at various places; General Jackson's speech was delivered at the South Carolina Convention of 1832 and Maynard delivered his speech in the House of Representatives on January 31, 1863. Mr. Gaulden's speech was given at the Democratic National Convention, Charleston, S.C., 1860.

Published by Chronicle Book and Job Print. Denounces president Andrew Johnson as an untrustworthy leader and one who easily pardons traitors, primarily Southern rebels. Includes a letter written to Kelley by Governor W.G. Brownlow of Tennessee as a testament of Johnson's betrayal of the Union.

Published by G.B. Teubner. Printing of an address given at a meeting of the National Club of New York, held at Dramatic Hall, February 4, 1864. Suggests that "rebel country" should be divided into new territories and jurisdiction assumed over the rebel states. Argues that the identity of the rebel states must be destroyed completely. Includes nine resolutions agreed upon by the National Club, to be printed and discussed in the following meeting. Also includes a map of the US divided into regions.

Published by Sherwood & Co. Address delivered before the Maryland State Legislature at Annapolis 22 January 1864. States that the duty of the country is to suppress the rebellion and eliminate slavery. Encourages the unification of all parties to back President Lincoln's plan of pacification. Declares that "slavery, as a great element of society, makes slaves of all associated with it."

Published by A. Williams and Company. Criticizes Andrew Johnson for taking over congressional authority and compares him to Napoleon Bonaparte. Discusses the constitutionality of the reconstruction acts. Accuses the Democratic Party of having a "rebel program" in which Southern rebels will attempt to regain everything they lost in the Civil War. Warns against the possibilty of another successful rebellion by rebel states.

Title: The Amendment of the federal Constitution : an Address Before the Christian Association for National Reformation, of Southern Illinois by James Wallace, in Rev. S. Wylie's Church, Eden, November 8, 1864.

Argues that the constitution needs to be amended "so as to become the fundamental law of a christian republican government." States that when the Southern states seceeded from the Union, they were not only rejecting the authority of the Constitution, but were rejecting the authority of God.

The card, signed by George T. Brown, admitted Kellogg and his family to the inauguration.

He further orders the accounts to include the port from which the vessel has come, names of the master and owner(s), and any intelligence gathered. Also requests that an account be given for every vessel that is equipped from Dover to any part of North America. Letter written at the London Customs House.

Partially printed document signed by Colonel Goldthwait, who was the commanding officer at Fort Pownall in Maine, and countersigned by his future son-in-law, Francis Archbald, Jr., the clerk at Fort Pownall. Certifies Nathan Pendleton of the sloop Seaflower, clearance to the custom's house of Penobscot Port. Specifies that the sloop was bound for New London, Connecticut, and that there were thirty thousand pine boards and fifteen thousand shingles on board.

Orders Lieutenant Briggs to proceed to the towns of Rutfield, New Fairfield, Danbury, Reding, and Newton, Connecticut. States the Briggs should give orders to all officers, doctors, and soldiers belonging to the 5th regiment to return immediately as Waterbury has orders to march to Albany right away. Lists six officers absent from camp that Briggs should order to return.
