Four soldiers were punished for "cowardice" in front of the brigade. Comments on his opinion of phrenology. While the regiment has not had a chaplain, a Christian sermon was preached through the Christian Commission.

State the pay will be equal to that of a Lieutenant Commander. Informs Mayo he will be appointed if he desires the post.
