Mentions how payments should be made. Says he will be a better correspondent as his army duties are about to cease. Relates information on his family. Free frank is signature "Genl. St. Clair."

Printed by Samuel H. Smith. Jefferson's separately printed appendix to his Notes on Virginia, containing the evidence upon which he charged Capt. Cresap with the murder of Logan's family and other peaceful Indians. The appendix was printed to respond to the charge that Jefferson had invented the narrative that appeared in the "Notes" to cover for a speech made by Logan. The first page has a printed statement denouncing the execution of Sacco and Vanzetti and comparing the case to the Salem witchcraft trials. The rest of the newspaper contains articles defending Sacco and Vanzetti and pledging to continue the fight. The last letters of the two men are printed on pages 7-8. Scattered quotations include the Governor of Massachusetts, Alvan T. Fuller, "Thank God it is all over!" and Judge Webster Thayer, "Did you see what I did to those anarchistic bastards?".

The second page is a copy of a note dated 15 March 1795 signed by a secretary for Morris and Nicholson promising to pay $5000. Blind stamp of notary on front.
