Letter written in clerical hand of Lt. Paul Quinn as the Assistant to the Fleet Surgeon of the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron. Letter is also signed by Quinn. The fleet surgeon was named Fal and it was written to McSherry as the surgeon on the USS "Wabash" at Hampton Roads, Virginia. Says his requisition for medicines has been filled and will be shipped as early as possible. Says they are out of whiskey, but that he can get some from the USS "Susquehanna," which was recently given some.

References Maccinow's letter of 11 April. Says the decisions involving the issuing of work was stopped by "the Bureau," and that he has learned that jobs will only be issued to those of "certain classes." Tells him to inform Dr. Henry McSherry to apply to Dr. Whelan for work.
