Informs Knox of the arrival of troops and states that "by this time it is to be hoped that those from the Eastward have joined...should no addition have been made to them since." Writes about protecting the area with the garrison. Second part dated 3 August. Noted as an extract. Discusses state of the new troops with Knox .
