Two receipts on the same sheet for payment of duty on a 4 wheel carriage called a Phaeton that is drawn by 2 horse. One is good till September 30, 1801, the second is good till September 30, 1802. There is a note on the bottom that there is also 2 dollars for a Sulkey for 1801, and 3 dollars for a Coache for 1802.

De Zeng asks Schuyler to further postpone a meeting of the Board at Rhinebeck. The meeting was supposed to take place on the 6th but had been postponed until the next Saturday. De Zeng, complains that he will be unable to make it and asks that it get postponed for a later date. He also asks that if the meeting is ever postponed again that he be informed by a note to his house as he did not discover it had been moved until he was about to set out in the morning.

Let me assure you it is an un truth, it has given me some pain that I should have been heald up to the publick in so unfavourable a point of view as on the one hand to request you to make provision for me by some Arrangement, and on the other (as is is said) to be so amply provided by my father."

Cruger is sailing to Saint Croix on January first and so can be Mrs. Mitchell's agent then.

He writes that while there he met up with an old school friend who is now an episcopal minister in the area. He then describes his friend and how well off he is. William also mentions that his health has been good, as well as his business. He wishes for Elizabeth's health and gives his love to her and the family.
