There are also articles that argue that in fighting the federal government, Virginia is loosing slavery without compensation. Lists predictions of what will happen if secession fighting continues.

Blames his commander, Captain Worden, who is "pleasant" but "excitable." Claims that "If we win a Fight in this ship it will be more by good luck than good management."
