Depicts the seven ironclad gunboats of Foote: Cincinnati, St. Louis, Carondelet, Essex, Lexington, Conestoga, and Tyler, each labeled below the image. The 14 smokestacks, 2 for each ship, billow black smoke as the orange blasts of cannons hit the earthen fort. Cannon shots from Fort Henry hit the water in front of the ships.

Portrays African American soldiers carrying a United States flag which reads "54th Mass" on the stripes section of the flag as they meet a battle line of Confederate troops. Title: Orders re: naming all officers and soldiers of Fort William Henry as freemen

Due to regulations preventing all but free men from carrying on as tradesmen in the colonies, many soldiers and officers of his Majesty's Armies had deserted their posts due to want of food and clothing. In an effort to convey gratitude and maintain the town's protection from "the French of Canada and their Indians," the Council ordered that all soldiers and officers barracked at Fort William Henry be granted the status of free men, and all rights and priveleges which follow.

The report of the Commissioners of the Customs, (Wenham and [Panconniere]), detailed by Viscount Cornbury to examine and report on Livingston's accounts for the Excise and Quit Rents of Albany, in which it was determined that all accounts were up to date, and Livingston was indebted to her Majesty Queen Anne for a sum of £55 and 7 shillings for salary recieved while suspended from his position.
