In their response, the Onondagas claim that the attacks upon white settlers were made without their order, and thank the white men for their forgiveness and understanding. They note, however, that in the future the white men should allow the Onondagas to take corn and provisions as they pass through white settlements on their way to battle.

He notes that the Mohawks and Senecas claim innocence, and have been extremely helpful with the investigation; and invites the Maryland agents to Albany in order to conduct the investigation themselves. They request the commissaries of Albany to inform the neighboring Indians that they must call back the troops they sent down to Maryland and Virginia so that no mischief may be committed against white settlers. Failure to comply with this order will constitute a break in the peace, and the Indians may find themselves at war with all British subjects.

On p.1 the Catskill, Mohican, and Esopus Indians explain that they are a very small people with no intention of ever harming Christians. Their answer continues on the 20 July 1682 on p.2, in which they thank the Christians for their friendship, and promise not to hunt in Virginia or Maryland.

Title: Appeal to Anthony Brockholes for assistance with the investigation

The Agents of Maryland request the assistance of Brockholes and the government of New York in their inquiry into the transgressions of the northern Indians. They ask the New York agents to make it clear to the northern Indians that a peace agreement with New York constitutes an agreement with all British subjects, including those that reside in Maryland and Virginia. Therefore, if the northern Indians attack white settlers in Maryland or Virginia, then they should not expect to retain their peace and trading privileges at Albany.

Signed by both Coursey and Philomen Lloyd. They thank the Sinnondowannes for their outstanding loyalty, and ask that they renew their peace agreement. The Sinnondowannes are also instructed to hand over any Indian that has murdered a white man or destroyed his property, and to maintain a peaceful relationship with colonists' other Indian allies.

During these proceedings, the Indians apologize for the actions of other northern Indians, and state their desire to maintain peace and friendship with all Christians. The document also records the various peace offerings that the Indians made in an effort to apologize for the murders and robberies that were committed.

Title: 2nd and 3rd Proposition to the Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, and Cayugas

Contains the signatures of Coursey and Philomen Lloyd. The document sets the terms for a peace settlement between the agents of Virginia and Maryland, and the northern Indians. Lloyd and Coursey demand 500 beavers to pay for the robbery and plunder, and the commanders of the troop that murdered the Christians. They also request that the northern Indians remain out of their country, and that they call back any troops that may have been sent down.

Title: Settlements along the Susquehanna River

The map marks various settlements of the Senecas, Onondagas, and Cayugas along the Susquehanna River, and the length of travel between them. This map had borders drawn between Robert Livingston and three Iroquois delegates. The accompanying text explains that a detailed account of the river is necessary so that settlers may find their way along it. The text also notes that the Iroquois were satisfied and happy when they were told that settlers would soon move into this territory, as it would ease and increase trade and transportation in that area.
