Indicates that the Assembly will meet next in Hartford to consider further action. Expects Johnson not to wait for the reinforcements and instead have them meet on the road. Also expects the knowledge of forthcoming support will buoy his men.

Title: [Instructions to the paymaster of expedition forces to make payments]

Hodgson, a major general and colonel of the 5th foot regiment, directs Charles Bembridge, the Deputy Paymaster General to the Forces on an Expedition, to make payments to several regiments, in the amounts listed. Hodgson had served as correspondent to British Secretary of War William W. Barrington before forming the 52nd of Foot and the Royal West Kent Regiments. Hodgson had participated in the April campaign to capture Belle Isle, off the coast of France. He was made a field marshal in 1796.

Also signed by Judge Abiel Walley. Patten, a Boston constable, attests to the discovery of silver stolen from Thomas Richardson, the treasurer of Rhode Island. Suggests prosecution of William Smith and indicates that the silver was returned to Richardson.

Lists costs associated with regiment led by General William Gansell and General Thomas Gage, accumulated during a 94 day period between December 25, 1764 and March 28, 1765. Lists all members of the regiment, including a chaplain and servants, and notes allowances to widows and "to the Colonel for Cloathing lost by Deserters." Mentions an "Independent Company on Foot" led by Lieutenant Colonal Matthew Pierson, and two more companies commanded by Captain Francis McMillan and Captain Archibald Blane.
