A print of a photograph of Abraham Lincoln taken by William Marsh, in Springfield, Illinois on May 20th, 1860. It is a half-length photograph, Lincoln is facing right but looking directly at the camera. Taken two days after Lincoln recieved the nomation for presidential candidate by the Republican Party. Known as Ostendorf no. 21 and Mesere no. 21. "33439" is written in pencil upside-down on the rear left-hand corner of the reverse. A second string of numbers, "536203" is present further down. Print is albumen and mounted. Title comes from Library of Congress record.
