A "true copy of the minutes" made by George Morgan re: various minutes and agreements pertaining to the Indiana company, which speculated in land along the Ohio river. In an 1768 treaty Indians had ceded a large tract of land to the "unfortunate traders" for damages they had caused them in 1763. The Indiana company sought to acquire and sell this land. Includes minutes from a September 21-23 meeting in Pittsburg assuring the legality of the purchases and establishing rules for their oversight and sale. Discusses confusion and problems in confirming that the state will have representatives in Annapolis. Gerry's drafted response dated 28 August 1786 explains that "it is not in [his] power to proceed on the Business of the Convention." His explanation refers to a meeting mentioned in GLC02450.03.

Burns discusses his settlement on Samuel Waldo's Muscongus Patent (also known as the Waldo or Linconshire Patent, land in present-day Maine). Discusses improvements Burns made to a stone house, and mentions his black cattle. Burns was given command of a company of soldiers by Governor [William] Shirley, after which he and his family moved to a settlement of 40 or 50 "Protestant Familys from Germany" on the Madomock [Medomak] River. Major Bauman, commanding the artillery at West Point, writes to Hull, commandant of West Point. In response to Hull's orders requiring artillery to perform common garrison duties under direction of the adjutant, Bauman had previously requested suspension of his own command (GLC02437.02944). Implies that Hull denied this suspension, stating "... if you can not suspend with what I have requested in my two letters... you may deprive me of what command I have left in what manner you please..."
